On May 14, 2009, Bruno DeGol answered
the Lord's calling.
The loss of such a wonderful soul stirs memories of a life
lived to its fullest, without compromise or regret. If there
was a way to fit another event into his 87 years, Bruno was
destined to find it. Even on those less favorable days, Bruno
saw a silver lining, taking each lesson in stride and
becoming stronger from it.
One of Bruno's most memorable quotes involved strength:
"I do not want to be the biggest, I want to be the strongest."
To his last day, Bruno was indeed a pillar of strength and
determination. He was strong to the end, never wavering
from his goal of making a diference and reinforcing to
all his love of family, God, and country.
Anyone whose life was touched by Bruno is better for the
experience. His humble attitude was contagious, his genuine
smile reassuring, and his life stories a fine example of a
person who recognized the true value of life. "Leave this
world a better place than when you entered it."
May he rest in eternal peace.
