In the mid-Sixties, realizing there was a need for a local dealer in the quality floor coverings, the DeGols began selling carpeting and vinyl flooring at their Gallitzin location.

Under son David DeGol’s management, DeGol Carpet experienced steady growth, expanding from residential into the highly competitive commercial and industrial markets. It soon emerged as one of the foremost dealers/distributors of carpeting, not only within Pennsylvania, but also in Maryland, Ohio, New Jersey and New York.

DeGol installation crews have worked on major hotel, hospital and school projects. Most recently, DeGol Carpet has provided floor coverings for the Gallactic Ice Project as well as the $93 million renovation/expansion of Penn State’s Beaver Stadium.

Due to an ever-increasing number of customers and size of projects, in 1991, they moved their thriving company to a 48,000 sq. ft location in Duncansville, PA. This allowed a significant increase not only in warehouse space, but the type of floor covering products available to customers. DeGol Carpet now employs over sixty people in its sales and distribution operations, and offers a complete line of floor coverings that include vinyl flooring, carpeting, wood flooring, ceramic tile and many specialty products. Recognized as a major distributor in the floor covering industry, the company has received many manufacturers’ sales awards.
