Wholesale Distributors of Quality Building Products

In the early 1970's, wholesale distribution of building products in central PA originated in the Pittsburgh and Baltimore metro areas. Due to distance, the area received less than adequate service, resulting in many looking for alternative sources. In 1972, Bruno , Lena, and their children determined that they were well positioned to open a wholesale operation. With sons, Donald and Dennis taking the lead, they formed Seven D Wholesale and began to provide truckload and less than truckload quantities of commodity items to lumber yards and specialty stores within 150 miles of Gallitzin.

As this division grew and established itself as a newly crowned leader in the industry, the family expanded into Eastern PA (Newmanstown, PA), Northeast PA and SE New York (Scranton, PA) and eventually expanded service to the entire Northeast with the purchase of a yard in Hartford (Rocky Hill), CT.

By developing long-term, mutually-beneficial relationships with vendors and customers, Seven d Wholesale became a dominant player in the Northeast. As a result, its lumber and plywood business became so large that two brokerage offices were established in Deerfield Beach, FL and Greenville, SC. These sales offices served existing customers' needs, while opening up markets along the entire Eastern seaboard and inland states as far west as Texas.

Acting upon a need for more "engineered wood" distribution in New England, the location in Hartford implemented design, sales, and delivery services to builders in 5 states.

The growth of seven D Wholesale into an industry leader is well documented and the company has been ranked among the TOP 20 building materials distributors in the United States for 25 consecutive years.
